Rs. 6 Lakh p.a. salary in digital marketing possible?

Uncategorized

Of course!

This is one of the easier ways to reach the Rs. 6 Lakh p.a. mark given the other options available to the students right now.

Now just because I said its easy, it doesn’t mean that there is no hard work involved.

What I’m trying to hint at is that there are other professional certifications which enables you to get high packages like CFA, FRM, MBA (from top B-schools), etc but the kind of efforts, money and time involved in completing this is very high.

Now compare it with Digital Marketing which can be started by anyone even at the comfort of their home. You don’t need to graduate from a high end college and don’t have to give very tough examinations to start in this. And the investment required to learn through a program is fairly lower than the other options mentioned above.

Having said that there is a lot of learning to be done before you actually come to the big league.

Digital Marketing needs regular study and more importantly Practice!

If you have the intent then its very much doable.

I have examples of candidate who started at a normal salary of Rs.15,000-20,000/month in digital marketing field and then with 12 months+ of core practical experience their salary has gone up to Rs.30,000-35,000/month in hand (this is approximately what an MBA graduate from a regular B school gets on an average in campus placements).

And it only gets better with experience.

So how can you start your learning process?

I’ll tell you few ways, you can choose which way you want to start out.

The first way is to just browse tutorial videos that are available for free on YouTube. However, the downside to this is that you will not be able to understand the credibility of these videos, and also just searching for the right content will take a lot of time.

The second way is that you can choose a paid online course that will give you a set of pre-recorded videos to learn from. The positive is that you get to re-learn the modules again and again at the comfort of your home if you don’t understand. The negative side of this is that there is no one to push you to your limits. Next, although you are learning theory the practice will be missing in major cases. I have personally interviewed people with online course certification but they lack the practical knowledge.

The third way (which I recommend) is that you enroll in a paid program that gives you access to live training sessions either online or classroom. Followed by this, the program should have practical exercises, and last but not least the program has to be updated as per the changing trends.

We had created a practical oriented training program for our internal team members at Ocupetal. It has been helping them immensely, so we thought of now sharing it with others outside who want to learn digital marketing as per the job market requirements. You can find the complete information here: https://ocupetal.com/best-digital-marketing-course-in-mumbai/

The fourth way is you can attend a one-two day workshop to learn a few aspects of digital marketing practically. However, this isn’t ideal for absolute freshers because, in the beginning, you will need more time to learn.

In the end, I’d conclude that with roughly 2 years of core digital marketing experience, you can position yourself to get to a higher salary package!

So Start Now!
